Summit Current opened in 2018 with one van, one master license, and a rule that has not changed since: every job gets permitted, inspected, and priced before the work starts. What began as a one-man service truck in a Boulder, CO garage is now a family-run crew of licensed electricians handling panel upgrades, rewires, EV chargers, and 2am emergency calls across the county. We still quote flat, still pull every permit ourselves, and still leave the job site cleaner than we found it.

Got Questions? We've Got Answers Right Here!
Project estimates are free. If you want us to diagnose an existing fault, that is a flat-rate service call — a licensed electrician tests the circuit, finds the actual cause, and the fee is credited toward the repair if you approve the work that visit.
Panel upgrades, new circuits, EV chargers, and rewiring all require a permit in Boulder County. We pull it, schedule the inspection, and meet the inspector ourselves. Swapping a fixture or an outlet generally does not.
Yes — Colorado master electrician license, fully bonded and insured, and every technician on the truck is a licensed journeyman or a registered apprentice working under one. Certificates available on request before we start.
We keep an electrician on call 24/7. In Boulder proper we are typically on site within 60 to 90 minutes of your call; surrounding towns run closer to two hours. Sparking outlets, burning smells, and hot panels jump the queue.
Breakers that trip regularly, a 100-amp or fuse-based service, scorch marks, a warm panel cover, or a Federal Pacific or Zinsco label are all reasons to have it looked at. We will tell you honestly if it has years left in it.
All of Boulder plus Louisville, Lafayette, Superior, Gunbarrel, Erie, Longmont, and Niwot. Emergency coverage runs across the same area, with response times listed on our service areas page.
